This year’s Power Up North Conference brought together entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and business professionals for an inspiring and collaborative experience, starting with a pre-conference event at Fat Unicorn Brewery, where attendees reconnected and built new connections over wings and free drinks. This set the stage for the two-day event, held at Portage College, which was packed with valuable insights, networking, and thought-provoking discussions.
Day 1 and Day 2 saw an incredible lineup of speakers, including experts like Diana Noble, Jennifer Barroll, and Brad Kotowich, addressing topics like transforming cultures, innovating hires, and elevating brands. The sessions offered attendees fresh perspectives on leadership, workplace culture, and business strategy

The conference also featured the Resource Tradeshow, where vendors showcased products and services. Attendees participated in craft-making activities and enjoyed guided tours of the Portage College Museum, adding cultural richness to the event.
On Day 2, Angus Watt’s keynote was the most anticipated session, leaving the audience inspired and motivated to face the challenges ahead.
Survey results demonstrated high satisfaction, with:
- 88% rating the event’s information and engagement as high quality.
- 84% finding the tradeshow booths useful.
- 68% reporting new skill acquisition, particularly related to addressing workforce needs.
- 88% likely to return to future events.
With 151 attendees, this year’s Power Up North was a tremendous success, offering a combination of education, connection, and inspiration.
