The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) empowers individuals with health conditions or disabilities in the Lac La Biche region to start or grow their own business — with expert coaching, funding supports, and a clear path forward.
The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) helps individuals with long-term health conditions or disabilities in Lac La Biche start, grow, or adapt their businesses.
Offered in partnership with the Community Futures Network of Alberta (CFNA), this program is designed to remove barriers and open up real opportunities for entrepreneurs who face challenges in traditional employment or business settings.
Whether you have a visible or invisible disability — including physical limitations, mental health conditions, chronic illness, or neurodiversity — EDP can give you the tools, coaching, and confidence to move forward with your business goals.
You don’t need medical documents — just self-disclosure and a dream to grow.

Get Matched with a Coach
You'll receive a free Discovery Session with a certified business coach from our approved list.
Apply for Coaching or Stipend
We’ll help you apply for coaching and funding through a simple form.
Start Growing Your Business
With support in place, you’ll work 1-on-1 with your coach to build momentum.
What You'll Get
1-on-1 Business Coaching
- Up to $1,200/year in coaching, delivered in two $600 packages.
- Delivered online by approved coaches who understand your needs
- Funds are used to pay your coach directly — you do not receive money personally
Accessibility Support
- Two $300 supports per year
- For tools, software, or training that helps you engage with coaching or build your business
- Purchases are reimbursed or handled through our office — you won’t need to pay out-of-pocket without support
Important Note: All EDP funding is managed by Community Futures Lac La Biche. Coaching and support funds are not given as direct payments to clients. We handle everything for you — clearly, securely, and with your success in mind.
