Success Stories

Rely-on Ltd.

rely on 297x300 1Lina Yadlowsky moved her family to Lac La Biche in 1994 and wanted to start a small business doing renovations.

Yadlowsky says that they weren’t the right fit for regular bank loans, so they approached Community Futures and were successful in obtaining funding to purchase tools. Over the years they approached Community Futures a few more times whenever they needed help expanding the business.

Yadlowsky says, “We always tried to keep the company diverse to adapt with the economy and expanded our capabilities. We recently purchased a sand and gravel pit – therefore needing to purchase heavier equipment once again.” Because of Rely-On’s diversity of skills and heavy equipment, they managed to land a job in the town of Devon working on a waste water management plant – just in time when the oil and gas slowed down.

Lina is quick to point out, “Without the help of Community Futures, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
